Dr. Korhan Cengiz is a Senior Researcher at the University of Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, and an Associate Professor in Computer Engineering at Istinye University, Turkey. He also serves as Research Committee Chair at the University of Fujairah, UAE. Holding a Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering from Kadir Has University (2016), Dr. Cengiz is recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists since 2023.
He has authored over 40 SCI/SCI-E indexed articles, 10+ book chapters, and holds 5 international patents. His research spans wireless sensor networks, IoT, 5G, indoor positioning, and signal processing. He serves as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Potentials, IET Electronics Letters, and IET Networks, and is a frequent reviewer for major IEEE journals. A Senior Member of IEEE and ACM Professional Member, Dr. Cengiz has delivered over 40 international keynotes and received multiple academic awards, including the Tubitak PhD Scholarship and best paper awards at ICAT conferences.
Dr. Nelly Elsayed Dr. Nelly Elsayed is an Assistant Professor at the School of Information Technology. She is the founder and leader of the Applied Machine Learning and Intelligence (AMLI) Lab. Her research focuses on Applied AI and Machine Learning for Healthcare Informatics, Cybersecurity, Smart Technologies, Computer Vision, and Business Intelligent Solutions. She received a BS. and MS. degree in Computer Science from Alexandria University and her MS. and Ph.D. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is an active member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. She has served as a principal and co-principal investigator in different federal, educational, and industrial level-funded research projects. She received the Faculty Incentive Award for Research and Scholarship from the CECH, UC, recognizing her research contributions, journal and conference peer-reviewed publications, and professional presentations in 2021 and 2025. She received the Love of Learning Award from the Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi in 2019, 2021, and 2023. She received the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching (Graduate Level), CECH. She received the UCAADA Sarah Grant Barber Outstanding Advising Faculty Award for from the University of Cincinnati. She has been an Ambassador for Goodwill of Lafayette, Louisiana, since 2017. Dr. Nelly Elsayed has been nominated for the for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM) which is the most prestigious mentoring award in the Nation.
Dr. Ahmed Abdelgawad is a Professor of Computer Engineering at Central Michigan University, where he has been a faculty member since 2012. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and previously worked at IBM’s Semiconductor Research and Development Center. A Senior Member of IEEE, Dr. Abdelgawad specializes in Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, structural health monitoring, embedded systems, robotics, RFID, VLSI, and FPGA design.
He has authored over 100 publications and two books, and serves as a reviewer for major journals and conferences including IEEE IoT Journal and IEEE Transactions on VLSI. He has been part of numerous IEEE conference organizing committees and delivered keynote speeches and IoT workshops internationally. Currently, he serves as Chair of the IEEE Northeast Michigan Section and is a member of the IEEE SPS IoT Special Interest Group. He has also led several NSF-funded research projects as PI and Co-PI.
Dr. Anastassia Gharib (Member, IEEE) holds a Ph.D. and M.A.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carleton University, Canada, where she conducted award-winning research in the IoT Lab. In Fall 2023, she joined the Department of Communications Engineering / IoT at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. Her research focuses on IoT and sensor networks with built-in security, privacy, and trust, as well as blockchain integration, cognitive radio, and distributed learning.
Dr. Gharib is the first recipient of the IEEE WIE Committee Outstanding Volunteer Award (2021) and has received numerous recognitions for her leadership in IEEE WIE Ottawa, including global and national awards. She has also held roles as a Contract Instructor, Quality Assurance Engineer, and intern at major regional organizations. She serves in key IEEE roles, including Voting Member-at-Large in IEEE Future Directions, and is actively involved in global conference leadership and IEEE publications review.

Dr. Salim Al-Shuaili is the Director of the AI and Advanced Technology Projects Unit at the Ministry of Transport, Communication, and Information Technology, Oman. With over 23 years of experience in ICT and a Ph.D. in Technology Adoption (AI & Digital Transformation), he is the first Omani to be certified as a Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. He is also the CEO and Co-Founder of Maidaan.ai and a Global AI Ambassador with the Global Council for Responsible AI.
Dr. Al-Shuaili has led national initiatives on AI and digital transformation aligned with Oman Vision 2040, including the development of the Omani Arabic Large Language Model and the Oman AI Studio. He has managed numerous large-scale e-Government, AI, and 4IR projects across sectors like education, health, logistics, agriculture, and tourism.
He serves on multiple global and regional advisory boards and has received international recognition, including the Digital Transformation Inspiring Leader Award (Thailand, 2022) and Impact Trailblazer Award (Azerbaijan, 2023). A prolific speaker, educator, and researcher, Dr. Al-Shuaili is actively involved in advancing responsible AI, policy-making, and capacity building in emerging technologies.
